Andina, Shoreditch

Ceviche, ceviche, my kingdom for ceviche!
This was the call that went out in Shoreditch (well, from me) last December as Andina opened.

The sister of Soho’s wonderful Ceviche, Andina is a menu of Peruvian delights, including (if you order in advance) a whole suckling piglet. Wow.

Alas, the piggy seems too much for one person, and maybe a little too much for one meal (that protein tho…) so I stick with what I know and order the best item on the menu: the seabass cerviche (I dreamt about it the first time I ate it; love at first sight).

Talk about a taste sensation. Orange, chilli, sweet/soft onion and gentle fish. It’s not something easily forgotten. The rest of the menu is equally intense, with Choclo Corn Cake, Beetroot and asparagus salads, lamb in chilli, and the biggest range of quinoa focused food I’ve ever seen.

Peruvian food is perfect for clean eating – nearly everything will be vegetable focused, light fish or meat, or have some quinoa. You can’t go wrong!

Clean eating friendly? Yes
Veggie friendly? Pescatarian
Delicious? Yes!
Why should I go there? Lunch date, dinner date, meal with friends, meal by yourself, because it’s a Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday or Sunday.
