Sesame Chicken Fakeaway

Sesame Chicken

I love taking a naughty meal and finding a clean and healthy way to cook it instead. This delicious chicken makes a simple stir-fry full of flavour and beats any take-away meal. Make some gyoza, or lemon chicken too and you’ve got a home-made healthy and clean Chinese Fakeaway!

  • 300g x chicken, diced
  • 4tbs x cornflour
  • 1 x egg
  • 5 x spring onions, chopped finely
For the sauce:
  • 4tbs x sesame oil
  • 2tbs x soy sauce
  • 3 x garlic clove, minced
  • Salt, to taste
  • 1tbs x agave
  • 3tbs x sesame seeds
  • 1tbs x cornflour

Heat a thick bottomed frying pan on a high heat while you prep the chicken.

In a bowl, beat the egg and stir in the cornflour until mixed through. Add the chicken and mix into the egg, making sure it is fully coated.

Add to the frying pan, turning the pieces with a tong until sealed. Fry for 15-20 minutes or until the chicken is cooked through.

Meanwhile, prepare your sauce. Add everything to a bowl and mix the cornflour in until it has dissolved.

Also prepare your noodles. The sauce part of this recipe happens very quickly, so make sure these are ready and plated up before you….

Turn the heat down to medium on your chicken. Add the spring onions.

Pour the sauce over the chicken and stir stir stir! Keep it moving for 1 minute. Lay over the noodles and serve straight away.
